Accomplished classical guitarist Robert Sequoia is based in the Santa Fe, NM, region. In addition to playing on historic Santa Fe stages, such as Loretto Chapel, Robert Sequoia has recorded five instrumental albums, including one called Compassion.

Released in 1999 by Ancient Forest Music, Compassion provides listeners with an array of classical, easy listening, and pop music infused with international and New Age sounds. An extension of Mr. Sequoia’s album Essence of Life, the acoustic guitar tracks on Compassion are well-suited to daily meditation routines, particularly the sprawling opening song, “Streams and Rivers,” and the nearly 11-minute final track, “Opening.”

Other highlights of the album include “Para Tu Cumpleanos,” “Angels Must Have Brought Us Together,” “A New Day,” and “Song for the Moon,” which was a number-one single on radio station KKCR in Kauki, Hawaii.
